This is a very light-hearted speech about the three sides of wellness: what we put into our bodies, how much we move our bodies, and the level of positivity we have in our lives – are we laughing and playing to balance out all this work?

Susan Stewart empowers and inspires her audiences to take care (and take charge!) of their physical and mental health – to become conscious of the mind-body connection and the effects of stressful thoughts! Through hilarious personal stories about her journey to wellness, her straight-up honesty about human nature, and sharing the “greatest hits” of health information, Susan Stewart will have us leaving the Deerhurst Resort laughing and understanding the magnificent power of aligning our everyday habits with our desires for health and happiness. When we feel good, all other things are possible.

Background

Susan Stewart is both a recovering stand-up comic and a learning and development consultant within the Ontario Government. After touring Canada with 3 one-woman shows and performing at comedy clubs around Toronto for 5 years, Susan decided to leave stand-up comedy in 2003. The fame and paparazzi attention just got to be too much for poor Susan. Through life's uncanny ability to shock and entertain, Susan then found herself working in a Human Resources branch within the Ontario Government where she became inspired to talk about the HR issues she was learning about and experiencing herself. Inspiration turned into action when Susan combined the HR and comedy worlds by developing inspirational workshops and speeches to enhance the quality of life for humans and increase the success for people who work together.

Susan is also a speaker/trainer with Shepell.FGI, an employee assistance provider for organizations, and is a presenter with the Federated Press Corporate Training Conference Division.

Delivering workshops and speeches aren’t Susan’s only passions - she is also a popular event host. Susan has hosted awards ceremonies for the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Culture, the 2005 OPS Human Resources Awards, the 2006 Learning Conference for TOPS (Tomorrow’s OPS) and Ottawa’s 2007 Women In the New Century Conference.
